Applying the commercial roof system
A fluid applied roofing system is a type of commercial roofing system that is applied as a liquid and then cured to form a waterproof membrane on the roof. These systems are typically used on flat or low-slope roofs, and they offer a number of benefits over traditional roofing materials.
The installation process for a fluid applied roofing system generally involves the following steps:
Surface Prep
The first step in installing a fluid applied roofing system is to prepare the surface of the roof. This includes cleaning the roof of debris, making any necessary repairs to the roof deck and a high-pressure power wash.
Fiber Membrane
Once the roof is clean, we apply a fiber-infused polyurethane material around roof penetrations, such as vents and skylights, exposed fastener heads and exposed lap joints to ensure all possible leak points are sealed.
Base Coat
Once the seals are established, a primer is applied to the surface. This primer helps to ensure that the fluid applied roofing system will adhere properly to the roof deck.
Top Coat
Next, a heavy-solid membrane is applied to the roof. This is done to provide a seamless, UV-resistant layer over the roof surface.
Let's restore your roof
Fluid applied roofing systems offer a number of benefits over traditional commercial roofing materials. They are highly flexible and can be applied to a variety of different surfaces, including concrete, metal, and even existing roofing materials. They are also highly resistant to water, UV rays, and other environmental factors, making them an excellent choice for flat or low-slope roofs. Additionally, fluid applied roofing systems are relatively easy to install and repair, which can help to reduce costs and improve the longevity of the roof.
